Pet Parent Portal — Supplemental Terms

Your portal account

Your Pet Parent Portal account is tied to a single email address, which is also your sign-in identifier. You are responsible for keeping access to that email secure. Anyone with access to your email inbox can sign in to your portal account because we use passwordless magic-link authentication. You agree to notify us promptly at hello@ruhrohretreat.com if you believe your email has been compromised.

Payments and saved cards

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms (https://stripe.com/legal/end-users). When you opt to "Save this card for next time" during checkout, you authorize us to (a) store a reference to your Stripe payment method so we can show it back to you during future portal checkouts, and (b) initiate future charges against that saved payment method only when you affirmatively start a checkout from the portal. We do not initiate charges to your saved card without your in-portal action. You can remove your saved card at any time from /customer/account; removing the card detaches it from Stripe and clears the saved metadata from our records.

Communications

By providing a phone number, you consent to receive SMS notifications about your bookings, including alerts when your sitter sends a portal message. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS from us.

Portal availability

We provide the Pet Parent Portal on an as-available basis. We may temporarily suspend or modify portal features for maintenance, security, or product improvements. Where the portal is unavailable, your booking, payment, and communication options described in the main Terms of Service remain available through email, SMS, or direct contact with your sitter.

Account closure

You may request closure of your portal account at any time by emailing hello@ruhrohretreat.com. We will close the account within 45 days. Bookings, transactions, and records that we are required to retain for tax, accounting, or legal compliance will be preserved per our standard retention policy.
